In a concierge medicine practice, the doctor makes a commitment to limit the number of patients to ensure adequate time and availability for each patient, and to provide a more personalized and enhanced level of care. To make this possible, the patient pays a membership fee.
The current medical practice environment in our country has evolved to a model that pushes physicians to see a high quantity of patients in less time. This results in suboptimal quality of care. Physicians are also driven to extend themselves through physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners. Therefore, in many instances patients are no longer under the direct care of the physician. My desire to practice “old fashioned,” patient-focused medicine and to be able to provide the highest quality of care to my patients led me to the decision of converting my practice to concierge medicine.
We offer two types of membership, depending if you have a health insurance that we're contracted with or not. Some of the benefits include increased access to physician between visits, less waiting time for appointments, same day or next day appointments, and personalized wellness planning.
